Battle of the Maroons

The Communication Unit has transmitted the Battle of Maroons as a TV transmission for first time in Sri Lanka in 2002 and 2004.

 

Nalandasara TV (2005)

This TV transmission was the first TV transmission in Sri Lanka & South Asia which was telecasted by a school. The Communication Unit covered 5km distance for three days through this TV transmission. 

 

Sambhasha 2006 Media Day TV

The Communication Unit telecasted it's media day Sambhasha 2006 for first time in Communication Unit's history.

 

Nalanda TV (2007)

The Communication Unit has telecasted its 3rd TV transmission Nalanda TV in 2007 which was the first satellite and webcasted TV transmission in Sri Lankan School Media History.

 

Sambhasha 2008 Media Day TV

The first simulcast of the school media history was done by the Communication Unit in 2008. The Communication Unit telecasted it's media day through TV frequencies, satellite and webcast.

 

Nalanda TV (2009)

The Communication Unit used croma technology in a TV transmission for first time in Sri Lankan school media history. Also the Communication Unit telecasted this TV transmission through internet too.

 

Sambhasha 2012 Media Day TV

The Communication Unit used IPTV technology in a TV transmission for first time in Sri Lankan school media history. TV Transmission was transmitted from the 25th to 28th of October through Peo TV at school premises.
